“It has recently come to our attention that, within the last year, a satanic black metal band from Finland, also going by the name of Black Dawn, has contracted with Necropolis Records in California for the release of their CD, ‘Blood for Satan’, in the United States. This disc is being sold by major record retail chains such as Tower Records and Virgin Megastores. The servicemark file for our bandname and logo can be viewed at this link: TESS – Document Display. The records of all our copyrights for our two discs ‘Black Dawn’ and ‘Absence of Time’, both of which were published before ‘Blood for Satan’ was released, can be viewed at this link: Search For: Black Dawn (1 – 20 Full Records). This Satanist band has registered nothing at the Trademark Office or the Copyright office.
We have nothing to do with Satanism, black metal, Necropolis Records, or a disc called ‘Blood for Satan’. Necropolis Records is at fault for infringing on our legally registered servicemark. We have begun efforts to resolve this situation and rest assured, we will not stop until ‘Blood for Satan’ is not available for sale anywhere in the United States.”
