Il cantante dei TWISTED SISTER, Dee Snider, ha attaccato duramente il chitarrista e leader degli ICED EARTH, Jon Schaffer, per la sua partecipazione all’assalto al Campidoglio del 6 gennaio, il suo successivo arresto e infine la sua decisione di patteggiare e collaborare con la giustizia per avere una riduzione di pena.
Ecco cosa ha dichiarato Snider via Twitter:
“Questo pezzo di merda mette in imbarazzo l’intera scena metal! Prima ci fa vergognare con le sue azioni terroristiche a Washington DC e POI diventa una talpa che tradisce le persone che hanno agito con lui, per avere una pena più leggera! Fottiti! Prenditi le tue responsabilità! Se commetti un crimine, allora devi pagare per quello che hai fatto!
Voglio essere chiaro: nessuno dovrebbe tradire i propri amici, la propria famiglia o la propria squadra. E’ roba da fighette ed è il problema della società odierna. Tutti fanno i ‘duri’, fino a quando non li beccano, poi sono i primi a dare la colpa agli altri.
Le autorità hanno sempre avuto degli infiltrati. Mio padre era un poliziotto ma mi ha comunque insegnato a tenere la bocca chiusa e soffrire in silenzio. Le chiamano ‘talpe’ non a caso.
Non è un discorso legato ai criminali. Qualunque persona deve avere onore, integrità e tenere fede alla propria parola. Non trascini giù gli altri assieme a te quando sei nei guai o stai passando un brutto momento. Non è giusto”.
