Si sono tenuti a Londra ieri sera i festeggiamenti per i trent’anni di Metal Hammer, celebrati con i Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2016. La cerimonia si è tenuta all’Eventim Apollo e ha visto la partecipazione di un grande numero di artisti metal provenienti da tutto il mondo.
I premi più prestigiosi sono andati agli IRON MAIDEN, che hanno ricevuto il riconoscimento per il miglior album com “The Book Of Souls”, ai LAMB OF GOD, eletti miglior band live, e ai GHOST, che si sono guadagnati il titolo di miglior band internazionale.

Degno di nota il tributo a Lemmy di Mikkey Dee e Phil Cambpell, che hanno suonato “Ace Of Spades” col frontman dei SAXON Biff Byford. Durante la serata si sono esibiti anche GOJIRA, HALESTORM e AMON AMARTH.
