In risposta al commento di un fan via Twitter, il bassista dei MÖTLEY CRÜE, Nikki Sixx, ha commentato la decisione della band di ingaggiare il chitarrista John 5 per sostituire Mick Mars durante il prossimo tour:
“Ha tutti i requisiti necessari, è un musicista pazzesco, ha rispetto per la nostra musica, è un tipo molto divertente e ha una storia con noi, avendo composto con noi delle grandi hit”.

Riguardo invece al futuro ruolo di Mick Mars:
