Esce il prossimo 24 febbraio su Frontiers Music Srl il nuovo disco dei PLACE VENDOME.
L’album si intitola “Close to the Sun” e vede la partecipazione di Dennis Ward (UNISONIC) che affianca il suo compagno di band Michael Kiske, occupandosi anche della produzione del nuovo lavoro.
Fra i numerosi contributi: Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR) che ha offerto il brano “Falling Star”, Jani Liimatainen (CAIN’S OFFERING, ex-SONATA ARCTICA) con “Welcome to the Edge”, Olaf Thorsen e Fabio Lione, le tracce intitolate “Helen” e “Riding the Ghost”, incluso anche uno dei brani dei DGM “Hereafter”, scelto da Serafino Perugino. La title track è a opera di Simone Mularoni, così come “Across the Times”. “Strong” e “Yesterday Is Gone” sono di Alessandro Del Vecchio, mentre “Distant Skies” e “Breathing” di Aldo LoNobile. Chiude il cerchio il brano inedito scritto da Michael Palace e intitolato “Light Before the Dark”.
Oltre a Dirk Bruinenberg alla batteria, Gunter Werno (tastiere) e Uwe Reineauer alle chitarre, alcuni dei nomi che hanno suonato nel disco: Alfred Koffler, Michael Klein, Gus G, Kai Hansen e Mandy Meyer.
