Come di recente annunciato, i RETROMORPHOSIS hanno firmato per Season of Mist. La band è guidata dagli ormai ex leader degli SPAWN OF POSSESSION: il chitarrista Jonas Bryssling e il cantante Dennis Röndum. A loro si sono uniti il bassista Erlend Caspersen, il chitarrista Christian Muenzner e il batterista KC Howard.
Il gruppo è nato dopo lo scioglimento degli SPAWN OF POSSESSION, quando il chitarrista Jonas Bryssling ha sentito la necessità di comporre nuova musica in cui fondere il technical death metal della sua vecchia band con elementi più tradizionali. L’album di debutto “Psalmus Mortis” è stato prodotto da Magnus Sedenberg, il quale lavorò su “Cabinet” degli SPAWN OF POSSESSION. La pubblicazione è stata fissata per il 21 febbraio 2025.
